The NBK Contributors Web Site
At the moment our Contributor web site serves two main functions:
- It provides information and documentation relating to becoming an NBK contributor. See our Documentation page.
- And, once we have agreed that you will become a contributor, it provides access to the Contributor Dashboard where you will find our contributor questionnaires and information about the data supply process.
In future we are aiming to develop the Dashboard to provide information about your data supply, as well as tools for analysing and potentially upgrading your data. This is an area we have begun working on through our Community Data Groups.
Contributor Dashboard Access
Access to the Contributor Dashboard is via Shibboleth/Athens with locally added Shibboleth entitlements. If you don't use Shibboleth within your institution we can provide Dashboard access via our Copac Identify Provider (IdP)
The Copac IdP allows access to the NBK Contributor Dashboard where you are not a member of the UK Access Management Federation or you are unable to establish your Shibboleth/Athens entitlement locally. The following information is needed for us to provide access via the Copac IdP and communicate with you. By providing this information you agree that you have asked us to process it as described in our standard privacy notice (at https://www.jisc.ac.uk/website/privacy-notice). You may instruct us to stop processing it at any time by deleting your details from the Copac IdP.
- Email Address
We need a technical contact for each contributing institution to maintain effective data supply. The following information is needed for us to communicate with you about your data supply for the NBK. And as part of the service we will add your email address to the NBK contributor JiscMail list.
- Email Address
By providing this information in our Data Supply questionnaire you agree that you have asked us to process it as described in our standard privacy notice (at https://www.jisc.ac.uk/website/privacy-notice). You may remove your contact details from the Data Supply questionnaire at any time and tell us you no longer wish to be contacted about your library’s involvement in the NBK by emailing email@example.com. You can also unsubscribe from the JiscMail list at any time. However we will need an alternative contact for your library.
It is also valuable for us to have non-technical contacts within a contributing library, so we can keep in touch regarding service availability, opportunities for collection promotion, participation in service development and other service related communication. If you agree to this communication we will add you to the NBK Contributor JiscMail list. You may remove your contact details from the Data Supply questionnaire at any time and tell us you no longer wish to be contacted about your library’s involvement in the NBK by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also unsubscribe from the JiscMail list at any time. However we would appreciate an alternative contact for your institution.
